The Graded Qualifications Alliance are the first examinations board to offer awards on graded examinations designed to recognise achievement in the 'middle ground' between academic and competency based qualifications. As well as providing everyday IT support, Unecom also manages and supports The Graded Qualifications Alliance's main application which has to interact with various universities which operate its exams and various government bodies to which it provides data.

After winning the tender, Unecom successfully completed the IT infrastructure & data cabling installation for this 15,000 square feet facility including 26 separate areas accommodating meeting, learning, recording studio & performance areas. In total 13,000m of Cat 6 cable was installed across 246 data points together with VGA connections for audio visual equipment and a central communications cabinet.

Having achieved significant business growth in recent years APAC needed to upgrade their email capability. The cost of replacing the existing email server was significant with the new server having an anticipated life of around 3 years. Unecom’s solution was to provide an externally hosted email facility costing approximately 50% of a new server with payments spread monthly over a 3 year period and having the advantages of improved performance & security and removing the need for expensive maintenance, software & security upgrades.
